Of course the Compaq one. The Acer laptop is one of those mini laptop which are only used for like little kids who are 8 years old (click source below to read more about these mini laptops).

Base off what I know, the Acer has an Intel Atom, which is a 1.6Ghz single core processor. The Compaq has an AMD Turion X2, which is a 2.0Ghz dual core processor. The Acer has 513MB of ram while the Compaq has 3GB of RAM.

This is where common sense kicks in. Which one is better?

Aaaaah! How ironic! I just bought an Acer Aspire One, and I LOVE it!!! It boots up really swiftly and Linux seems really simple to use. I got it connected to wireless quickly and painlessly. It's very small though. I’ve small, feminine hands, but if you're a guy with large hands, the small keyboard might be a problem.

Compaq is a notoriously bad brand. However, if you wanted something more massive, it wouldn't be that bad. Just stay away from HP laptops. I've had horrible experiences with them!

P.S. - These people who state Acer is bad obviously haven't done the research. Search for “Acer Aspire One” on youtube and you'll see what I mean! People (myself included) LOVE this little laptop, which is such a good value!

the circut city one wouldnt open. so based on the best purchase one… dont get either… get a MAC! mac's are deff the best. they are great for school, then internet is wicked fast, and last a LONGGG time. PC's dont last as long, internet is slow, and stuff takes forever to download. get a mac. yes they r costly, but u wont regret it. it will become an instant member of your family! lol
