“My computer crashed” - this can mean many things. Do you mean to say that the hard drive stopped working and you now must rebuild, or the operating system became corrupt? A easy “crash” is the computer rebooting or shutting off unexpectedly, with no long-run problems.

If you truly are missing drivers, between Windows Update (assuming you're using windows) and the HP support site, you should be able to find all drivers that once were on the machine when you purchased it.

“they don't seem to work” - what does this mean? My best guess is that you do not know the true model number of your machine (on the bottom a laptop, on the service sticker of a desktop) and are grabbing drivers for the wrong model. Either that, or you’re getting drivers for optional components your computer does not contain.
