The window won't load properly message (PBR for despcriptor 2 )
Answer: PBR descriptor means that you either have a bad hard drive or you’ve a corrupt master boot record. I would first eliminate the possibility of hardware. Go to the diagnostic partition if you can. (You probably wont be able to). you probably will NOT be able to do a system restore.
If you have vista you can install vista on top of itself and it will keep your old files in “windows.old” file. You go search, windows.old and copy over your data. Then you would want to do a “return to dell factory image”
reboot hit f8 choose “repair my cmoputer” enter your keyboard type, then your password. Then “agree”. It should take 25 minutes
Answer: I agree about restarting the personal. Try to reboot the system with factory restore and then download your stuff over. I know it is a headache, but I have owned a Dell and did not have it for long before it started giving me trouble. I have a HP and it is alright, but I love Compaq. I never had a problem with it and if someone didn’t drop it I would probably still have it now. Also, if you have access to another computer you can get on the Dell website or type your question in www.ask.com and see what you get. Sometimes other people post things on websites with similar problems and it really is helpful. Good Luck.
Answer: Just keep restarting your dell and if that doesn't work open recovery.
Answer: See if it will boot in safe mode and check for device conflicts
