I’ve Vista and would care about it to go XP but need directions on how to do it. Toshiba can't help me, they state they don't have anything compatible in XP to fix my laptop so I won't have Vista anymore.

that’s where i found all the drivers when i did this very same thing
i purchased a toshiba last summer i open it and there it was vista
sooooo i took my xp pro disk (must be a bootable xp pro) and put it in the cd rom or dvd and rebooted
when it say to Press Any key To Boot From CD do that
it will give you choices just format the darn thing and install xp
but first get the driver from either toshiba or that link i gave you
P.S. when the your laptop asks you again to press any key to boot from cd after the format DO NOT DO THIS it will start the whole process over again i did this 3 years ago lol
and unless you want to hunt down your dirvers for video and sound, and you maybe able to, but the thing of it is this, Microsoft trashed XP this year, so there is not even support for it, so the chances of you finding these drivers, its very trim
EDIT: K I stand corrected, you can trick the registry to reinstall XP, although I would be leary of cutting and pasting new commands into the windows core systems myself, but after reading that other post, I suppose you could
