I haven't had my laptop out for a long time i cannot remember the password does anyone know where i can download and burn the info for me to change it any info gratefully received

what os are u using?

if ur using xp, then log in safe mode, enter the default administrator

then go here:

start> control panel> account

click ur account, then disable the password.

but i advocate just reinstall the os

why?

because a laptop that has not been used is an outdated laptop. the programs might not be up to date, so just reinstall them.

go into safe mode then you don't need the password.
There is a lot of password finding s/w on the internet, google it and pick one.

If it's a mac just put in your Format or reinstall disks and then in the dropdown menu at the top, there’s an option to reset password.
