Do you think it will be long before those 9 or 10 inch laptops become as advanced (or close) to the massive 15-17 inch laptops?
Answer: processors are already caught up there because they’ve ones (intel Atom) that are pretty powerful and stay cool inside those little things, because they eed less cooling, but i'd say as far as video power it will be a long time before even the 17+ laptops can even compare to a desktop. lets state i had a 9800 in my desktop and a 9800mobile in my laptop they are basically the same card but laptops run in low power mode all the time no matter what, otherwise they would get too hot. same goes with the processors, heat is too much of an issue in almost all components. EEE pc's have solid state disks with no moving parts so they dont eed to worry about heat much. So basically dont count on waiting for a smaller pc just get a laptop now if thats what you want, avoid macs and dells because they’re both extremely over priced and do totally nothing but world wide web. If thats all you need get an eee pc. If you want a bit of power go with ACER, ASUS, Or a Gateway-FX Laptop. Extremely powerful. Visit www.newegg.com
Answer: no because people generally purchase the small (9,10 inch) laptops or netbooks primarily for portability, however, people who buy 15 or 17 inch laptops generally buy them for gaming or multimedia purposes with big screens in mind. But yes they’ll probably get faster, but so will the bigger ones as well.
