Macbook or Dell Inspiron?

I'll be using the laptop for basic use, I really want to know which one is the best in the long run. Do Macbooks really live up to all the hype?
Why not Vista? Why not Apple?

I’ve to say.
Go for The Macbook
It does really live up to the hype. If you have an Ipod it would be the ideal thing for it.
I personally care about it better because it comes with more stuff.
Most of the stuff in a Macbook isn’t supported by Other laptops.
Safari browser is more able to do more stuff than a lot of other browsers.
Now i do like Vista too.
Vista visual is way better than XP plus it has more changeable features than a lot of. Things. Vista is said to have a lot of problems.
However, if your looking for a cheap laptop. Go for anything else but the Macbook or Sony Vaios. Those are some of the most expensive i've seen.
