I own the Asus G72, Its astonishing, way better than that Sony as the 260m makes up for not having an i7 processor.

The only thing that Sony has going is the blu-ray and the i7.

The choice should be quite clear. Go with the Asus!

Asus. It's features are a lot superior for a cheaper price, but not too cheap, which is good. With Sony you're paying more because well, it's Sony. You're paying for the name. Look at their other electronics, they're a lot more then something that’s cheaper, but the cheaper thing usually has better features.

IF you play games go with the Asus, the only advantage that he Sony has is that the processor might be slightly faster, but I Don't know too much about laptop processors, but the Asus has more memory, and a way better graphics card. I wouldn't care about the resolution too much.
