Since last Tuesday, something has been wrong with my laptop. Every time i try to print out a document, or use my mouse, or plug in my external hard drive. I’m sure that its not the devices themselves, but i don't know if its the usb ports. Please let me know if there’s something i can do to mend this. (P.S. Last Tuesday, my sister was printing out stuff for her doctor; a letter and cover for the envelope. She printed out the cover fine and then went to the actual letter, and it wouldn't print)

reinstall the driver
visit your laptop manufacturer website and look for downloads or support for that make/model
Device Manager probably has yellow !s on the usb devices.
and before doing anything, reboot the laptop and see if that fixes it
