I have a Gateway MD2614u with 3Gs of ram, I was thinking about upgrading it to 4Gs. Now is it even worth the $27 to upgrade the ram one Gig. Will i notice a significance in speed. (internet surfing, gaming, multi-tasking) I believe sometimes it all depends what kind of and how good your processor is. That's why i have posted the specs page below.

Not if its running the standard 32 bit operating system of Vista or XP. These operating systems only recognize 3gb RAM. If you have a 64bit operating system it might be worth it.
Short answer is NO. 3gb is a lot. If you’re expierencing performance problems, i recommend cleaning any spyware, adware, malware, and aloso disabling any programs that run in the background. This will make a much more massive difference then bumping up your ram by %25

Id definitely upgrade. CPUs get outdated so fast, your gonna want the best you can afford now. Especially with laptops, they’re nearly impossible to upgrade after original buy.
