i never had a ipad???.but i love my laptop so i would pick laptop

If you’re only concerned with video, photos, audio and want interaction with internet( via only Wi-Fi) ipad is suitable for you but if you want to do other useful work, which you can do only on laptop, go for the laptop. If you are a student then just laptop is preferable.
