It also needs some repairs,It shows a Large ERROR message when turned on,Would that be the HD gone bad.?

You bought something you have never seen, you know nothing about it, and it is broke. On top of that, you state there is an error, and anticipate someone to be able to diagnose the problem by that alone? It could be one of a billion things. Why would you buy a broken laptop that you can't fix, especially one you don't even know what it is?
