Hey,i need to install pics from my memory card i have a HP laptop?

my laptop is a hp laptop i wan to install sum photos from my memory card.the memory card fits in perfectly but it only makes a sound showin somethin has been inserted but i can tseem to find the page i can install the photos.please i need directions on how insert the photos

When you hear the sound, go to my computer and look for a removable disk drive. That is your memory stick
