Basically, I have a Gateway P-7915u FX series laptop. It comes with a gtx260m and a p8700 core2duo processor. It plays games amazingly well, however it has a tendency to heat up. When I played Crysis the other day, Windows told me that “the display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered.” I think this maybe due to overheating(BTW, it does play Crysis amazingly well, so its not that the laptop can't handle crysis). So, I’m looking for a very efficient laptop cooler that will significantly reduce my gpu(mainly) and my cpu temps to good temps. I did find quite a few, but most were for 15 inches and below. If you can find one for 17inch laptop with a good price(not more than 50 usd), that would be GREAT!!!

Answer:
The only good laptop coolers are the ones that run off an AC adapter.

The el-cheapo USB powered ones you buy for $20 are typically too weak and flimsy to do the job.

You can try the Antec 200 cooler:

Bit costly, but its guaranteed to work well.
