well this might sound silly to most people but i had my laptop for a while now and i wanted to burn some films to dvds and i bought all kinds of blank dvd and my laptop make a funny noise and the cd dont work saying there isnt a cd in my laptop i ask my family and they sed i might need a dvd rewriter but how do i know if i got one or if i need one please help if you can thanks x

Are you sure the installed drive is a Dvd Writer ? If it is it would say WR on the front of it somewhere.
